بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

 

                                                                        بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

 

 اِنَّاۤ اَعۡطَيۡنٰكَ الۡكَوۡثَرَؕ (1) 

  فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانۡحَرۡؕ‏ (2)

  اِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الۡاَبۡتَرُ (3)

Surah al Kausar 

translation with English

Indeed, We have granted you ˹O Prophet˺ abundant goodness. (1) So pray and sacrifice to your Lord ˹alone˺. (2) Only the one who hates you is truly cut off ˹from any goodness˺. (3).

                    

       

This is the smallest surah in the Holy Quran, with only three verses. The place of revelation of this Surah is Makka. Its number in Quran is 108. the word Al Kauthr is derived from the word Kathra which means Bounty. Al kauthr denotes an abundance of goodness and spiritual advantages. This surah is used to get protection from enemies or evil eyes. We recite this surah at the start of prayer before Surah Al Fatiha.
